WaCanId Ride – Washington, Canada, Idaho – September 9-14, 2024
- 395 miles
The WaCanId is an annual Rotarian supported, bicycle tour taking cyclists on paved roads encircling the Selkirk Mountains of Washington, Canada and Idaho – hence the name WaCanId. “This ride showcases the International Selkirk Loop’s spectacular scenery – majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers and the world’s longest free scenic ferry. According to our previous riders, we have the best SAG support of any ride they have been on. So if you need a lift, we will be there to assist you. There will be a few climbs to challenge you, but it will be the scenery that will take your breath away”
*Recommended by Bike Friday owner, Joyce, who shared some of her personal experience riding her New World Tourist “I did the WACANID ride last September and it was a beautiful ride! Not an easy ride at 71yo with 2 total hips, a total knee scheduled for December, and a large and small battery for my NWT — but I did great! I was conservative in using the batteries and rolled into my hotel after 103 miles and several thousand ft of climbing with a few minutes left on my battery. Well supported ride with lunches and snack stops, lots of places to get your own motel or camping spot where they do luggage drop/pick up.”
New York Twin Lights Ride – New York – September 29, 2024
- 15, 30, 55, 75 or 100 mile route options
“Takes you along the Jersey shore, over undulating hills, and past quaint farms to the finish festival where local restaurants come out to serve up their best to hungry riders—it’s the greatest way to wind down your summer riding season.”
