When OHSU's Loaner Bike program went looking for new bikes to add to their diverse bike fleet, one bike offered something the others couldn't. They picked the Bike Friday All-Day, our electric mid-drive all-road travel bike - Class 1, pedal-assist, with a battery that lasts, well, all day. It folds up small for storage when it's not out on a rental, and it's light enough to carry up stairs or onto public transportation. Practical additions like fenders and our in-house folding rear rack give OHSU members an easy way to carry books, rain gear, work essentials, and groceries around campus. For a fleet, upkeep matters. The belt drive and hub motor mean very little maintenance and no grease on anyone's pant leg. The chromoly steel frame is built to handle years of daily use and is backed by our 10-year warranty. And they didn't just get one — they got three, in progressive sizing to fit as wide a range of people as possible. Low upkeep, built to last, and easy for anyone to ride — got a local bike share or rental program? Let them know the All-Day might be just the bike they've been looking for. #FoldingBikes #BikeFriday #Oregon #Ebike #BikeFridayAllDay #AllDay #bikebuild #handmade #OneLessCar #EBike #rideeverywhere #bicycle
Greetings from RAGBRAI! 🚴 It's a busy time of year with people riding their bikes at events all over the world, and this week concluded one of the world's largest touring events: RAGBRAI, the legendary seven-day ride across Iowa. Once again, we had a healthy turnout of Bike Friday representation! The super group formerly known as the "Ay Team" has reformed — and rebranded — as Team MoR/KA (Museum of Road Kill Art), riding as an even larger group of cyclists this year. Along the route, the team crossed paths with Gary from Alaska aboard his New World Tourist, and at least four other Bike Fridays were spotted rolling across the state. It's always a treat to see so many of our bikes out on the road together. Team member Ofer documented the whole journey with daily videos — check out Day One and the triumphant Day Seven ride to the finish line: ▶️ Day One: https://youtu.be/qjecSlQUQIA ▶️ Day Two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBUoair9tek ▶️ Day Three: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLU7qfvgbu4&pp=0gcJCaMLAYcqIYzv ▶️ Day Four: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnWAkgUg-Gk ▶️ Day Five: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4SIVKnRskk ▶️ Day Six: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7zT3BE23p4&pp=0gcJCaMLAYcqIYzv ▶️ Day Seven — Ride to the Finish Line: https://youtu.be/pbKdX-lRLqM Congratulations to Team MoR/KA and every Bike Friday rider who made the trek across Iowa. Happy cycling, and keep the ride reports coming! #RAGBRAI #BikeFriday #FoldingBikes #BikeTouring
