Symptoms
The gear indicator on the Acera RapidFire shifter doesn’t move. Is there a quick way to fix that? I looks like it might have slipped out of the groove and can’t move correctly.
Solutions
Take the top off of the housing (two screws), and see if the indicator has slipped out of the groves. There are actually two pins on the indicator that need to be aligned with two holes in the shift lever. If yours are misplaced, just align them properly, place the cover back on and secure it with the two screws.
