New World Tourist owners John & Rosemary are cycling over 1000 miles from the bottom to top of Great Britain! They sent us these photos of their current trip, we hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we have!
John reports that “the bikes are handling the load and performing very well.” To learn more about the New World Tourist’s specs & capabilities check out this page.

I did John O’Groats to Lands End on my NWT in June 2012. We did 1,600 k’s in 23 days in the worst start to summer in 160 yrs…hope you have much better conditions than we did!
Would this route easy to find a camping place ? I planning to bicycled this route in the few years. As the beginning of a trip from Europe to China. My bicycle is NWT too, THX guy!
Hi Barr, you will find campgrounds easily. UK is big on camping. check: http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/ukcampsites (just on example, find more sites for clubs and sites in each region where you wanna go). Plus, you can even ask on the next farm you pass by for permission (if you are in great need). More on cycling the UK here: http://www.cycletourer.co.uk/cycletouring/uk.shtml . Good luck and have fun!
Lots of campsites in the UK. If you use http://cycle.travel/map (disclaimer – my site!) to plan out a route, you can use the little accommodation menu on the left to find campsites nearby – it uses the data from the fabled Archie’s Campings listings which is generally acknowledged to be the best campsite data in Europe.
As a fellow NWT owner it’s great to read this account. 🙂
I noticed that you did not ride with your suitcase in a trailer. What did you do with your suitcase?
