All-Packa Frame Kit

Description

This frame kit is built to your order and loaded with bikepacking focused features, making it a fun and rewarding project for any adventure cyclist with a DIY mindset. Only a few common tools are required, so if you can change tires, adjust brakes, and shifters, you are well on your way. See tool list in “What’s in your Kit” tab.

No other folding bike frame on the market offers the advanced bikepacking features of the All-Packa, from its 3 pack braze-ons on the fork, seatmast and down tube to the 4 pack on the top tube. For riders up to 220lbs. For 20 inch wheels (406mm) with 2.8 in tire clearance. Disc brake braze-ons, external dropper post routing and compatible with industry standard parts.

Folded Size

Quick Folds in 30 seconds to fit into a small space, 32 x 24 x 12” (varies slightly with frame size and component selections)

9.7 lbs for the frame parts as listed. 26.6lbs for a full 9spd Packalope bar bike build from Bike Friday.
Airline Travel

Will disassemble to fit into a standard airline check-able Samsonite suitcase. 31 x 21 x 12”
Rider Size

This bike is hand built to fit your body and ride style. We can either take measurements from your favorite bike or your body measurements of height, weight, inseam and riding style. We build Effective Top Tube range of 48cm-62cm. This usually fits riders 4'6" to 6'2". The All-Packa frame is built for riders up to 220-lbs.
Component Brands

Our frames are all designed to be compatible with a wide range of bike industry standard parts. No proprietary parts needed. Please speak to our Bike Experts for specific component requests if you want us to provide an item for you.
Gear Hauling

There are the additional 3 pack and 4 pack braze-ons for bikepacking style gear, plus front and rear rack braze-ons if desired. This allows you to mix and match accessories to fit your gear hauling style!
Tires

Fits tires 2" to 2.8" wide.
Fenders can be used with tires up to 2.25"
Wheels

 Tubeless compatible rims available for purchase as upgrade. Note: We do not set up tubeless to ship from our factory, you will need to set them up.
Frame Compatibility

There are numerous custom frame options available. For example, the bike can be made compatible with the Rohloff hub. Unfortunately this frame cannot be made belt-drive compatible.

Components you will need to acquire yourself:

  • Shifters

  • Derailleurs

  • Brake levers

  • Brake calipers, disc rotors and brake pads

  • Handlebars (unless you order them from us, see Packalope bar upgrade)

  • Crankset

  • Cassette

  • Chain

  • Cables and housing: shifter and brake, ferrules & end caps (usually comes in a kit. Be aware that shifter cables cannot be used as brake cables and vice versa).

  • Bottom bracket

  • Wheels (unless your order them from us, see upgrade options)

  • Tires

  • Tubes or tubeless sealant, tape, valve if tubeless

  • Grips

  • Stem

  • Seatpost

  • Saddle and pedals

Tools that are good to have on-hand when you build up your frame:

  • Hex wrenches

  • Chain tools

  • Cassette lock-ring tool

  • Side cutters and housing cutters

  • Wire cutters

  • Bottom bracket tools (which type depends on which BB you need)

  • Crank tools if relevant to your crank choice

  • Bike pump

  • Torque wrench (so you don’t over tighten bolts)

  • Assembly grease

  • Chain lube

  • For Carbon Seat Post you need Seat post grease (this is different than regular grease. It has grains in it to help hold seat post in place by creating friction.)

  • If you build your own wheels you also need: Wheel truing stand, spoke wrenches and tire levers

  • Stand (not necessary, but really does help)
