NEW PRODUCT: Adjustable Chain Retainer
We understand no one wants to have to put their chain back on before riding and in order to solve the chain falling off (Which occurs on some model drive train combinations when being un-folded) we have developed a new adjustable chain retainer. Matt Kale, our chief engineer, put his head down in January and developed a prototype chain retention bracket that will be adjustable and easily retrofitable. This will greatly reduce the likelihood of the chain falling off when un-folding a Bike Friday and it can be installed on all folding Bike Fridays, age 1992 onward.
We are currently finishing the testing phase of the final design, we’ll be taking pre-orders for this new addition. The starting price will be $48 and we expect it to be ready for delivery by April.

This won’t be the only action we take with the customer feedback this year. There are several other improvements we are working on, we continually strive to improve our offering and ensure the best possible value for our customers.
Quantity Limits and Fulfillment time: Due to the hand-made nature of our in-house fabricated parts, fulfillment times can vary based on availability. We anticipate the first deliveries to begin in April and for a 2-3week delivery time from there on.
