I love mine! I have the prototype and it rides really well. Light-weight, easy to handle, great disc brakes, long lasting assist, and I get compliments all the time in how cute it is.

I have been riding a Diamond Llama that I loved since 2016, but now on the slide to 70, decided to knuckle and go E. Glad Bike Friday designed the All Day. The build is great and the Bosch system is smooth & powerful.
I am a heavy rider, so my concern is always frame strength, plus I like to tour on mixed surfaces with light-moderate baggage. For day rides mixed surface, the All Day keeps up with my gang on e-MTB‘s; mostly gravel trails and roads. Not sure I’d go on singletrack though. With my usual tour load it is great speed-wise, but the frame can feel more flexy than my Diamond Llama. I was a little worried about the flex at speed…but it tracked solid(see below).
I spec’d upgraded drive train with the Microshift SuperShort 11-38 1×9. I also swapped the chainring for a steel 50T Surly. The SuperShort stays well clear of tire, is clutched, and shifts quick/smooth even under some load. I like the durability of steel on the chainring both for packing and riding. If it gets tweaked in the suitcase or on a ride it’s easy it straighten. I also went with TRP Spyke cable disk calipers. Dual piston and stopping power with my loads is just better. A couple weeks ago we were coming down from the Hohe Tauern in Austria. At 45+MPH the All Day tracked smooth and solid, but thankful for the brakes on a couple switch backs.
I love the Bosch system. Smooth, effecient, and nice user interface. I have the 400ah battery, and managed a 45 mile day, loaded, with about 25% left. But, I try to do a lot of riding without assist. That said, it’s magical on climbs! The one downside with an e-bike meant to fly with you is that the battery can’t fly. In Europe I have contacted a few e-bike rental places. They rent older batteries in 2025, but the Bosch Smart System is not yet widely deployed in rental fleets. Two places said to check next year because fleets will modernize.
Aside from the battery, packing for flight is much the same, except I could not use the same Samsonite F‘lite case I used for my Llama. My frame is at the large end, and the folded bike is just a bit too big for my old case. I found a case that is a little oversize and fits easily. Did not get challenged for size on flight, but a couple ticks over 50 pounds. Probs just pedals, tools, and soft goods will lighten it.
Overall I am very happy with the All Day. With about 800 miles now, it is doing everything I want to do hauling me and my stuff around.
Great build, excellent service, versatile ride. 4.5 stars; could be a little stiffer.
