It features unique, adjustable seat masts so it can change size to fit virtually anyone. Using just a single 6mm wrench (provided), the Family Tandem easily adjusts to fit riders in the front (captain) position from 4'-10" (1.5m) to 6'-5" (2m). In the rear (stoker) position, riders from 36" (0.9m) tall (with the optional child stoker kit) to 6'-2" (1.9m) can be fit comfortably. More importantly, unlike other tandems that place children at the same height as adults and depend upon long extensions to fit their short legs, the Family Tandem actually lowers to fit the child at a height that's right for them. The result is greater safety, more comfort, and the confidence that leads to a life-time of cycling enjoyment.
With components carefully selected for value, versatility and dependability, including 406mm wheels that accept tires ranging from road slicks to trail-worthy knobbies, and with two wide-range gearing options, Family Tandems are extremely affordable, and amazingly versatile. And did we mention fun? Don't be surprised if the kids want to keep riding when you're ready to stop!
Of course, like ALL Bike Fridays, the Family Tandems are both portable and packable (in optional Travel Cases), so the fun can go with you on any vacation or trip.
