We are a worker cooperative bicycle shop located in the heart of downtown Toronto. We opened our doors on Saturday March 30, 1997. Initially, we opened to service people like ourselves -- daily commuters -- the non-lingo, plain-talking individual. 8 years later, Urbane has evolved, grown leaps and bounds, and become one of the most cycle-friendly hubs downtown. Commuters and couriers form our core clientele, but we're also growing popular among recumbent riders, the randonneurs, and builders of alternative bikes and trailers. |
