Referral Awards

Bike Friday is a small company that relies on its reputation with its customers. If you are already a Bike Friday owner, no doubt you have had many curious folks stop and ask you about your unusual bicycle. It's these word of mouth events that are our lifeblood. As a small company, we don't have a huge marketing budget or slick ad campaigns. We either do a good job for you, the Bike Friday customer, or you won't have good things to say about us. It's that simple.

We do know that many, many (see testimonial) of our customers have said very nice things about us. A very large portion of our sales comes from repeat and referral business. Our Referral Awards are intended specifically to thank you for taking time in your day to take on the cause of a small business. We know that you are unlikely to make a living talking about funny little bikes that ride great, but please accept these awards as a token of our gratitude.

Here is how the Referral Awards work. You will get a set of prepaid postage cards with your new Bike Friday that are pre-printed with your name along with the name of the Bike Friday expert who helped you with your purchase. If you meet a person who is interested in the concept that is Bike Friday, fill out one of the cards with their name and contact information, and drop in the mail. We will take good care of your friend or acquaintance. We promise to respect their privacy and will not treat them in a way that would embarrass you or hurt your relationship with them.

Remember that we really do want to recognize you for your effort on our behalf. Our awards are $50 cash or $75 in credit toward future purchases for each referral that results in the sale of a custom Bike Friday. $25 cash or $37.50 in credit toward future purchases for each referral that results in the sale of a stock model (Pocket Tourist/Pilot, Family Tandem) or one of our Pre-owned Bike Fridays.

While Bike Friday does give a referral to our direct customers, we do not require that our partnering dealers do so to thier customers for Bike Fridays. If you are thinking of recommending a Bike Friday to a friend to purchase from one of our dearlers, ask the dealer if they do offer a referral award program if this is an important condition in your recommendation.
